Kelly Lyon, ACE

Kelly Lyon, ACE is a 2x Emmy winning editor specializing in comedy. She edits stand up specials, including John Mulaney’s Emmy winning specials Baby J and Kid Gorgeous at Radio City. She edits scripted comedies like Adults Season 2, which premiered with 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Kelly also edits sketch and variety shows like Saturday Night Live, Oh, Mary! and The Muppet Show. 

In 2026, Kelly won the Emmy for Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming for editing The Muppet Show for Disney +.

In 2024, Kelly received 2 Emmy nominations for Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming for her work on Tig Notaro’s Hello Again and John Mulaney Presents: Everybody’s In LA. She won the Emmy for Everybody’s In LA.

Kelly edited many of your favorite parody commercials, digital shorts, and music videos for NBC's Saturday Night Live. She edited Mike Judge’s stop motion animated comedy In The Know for Peacock, IFC's Portlandia, and even helped out on season 1 of Emmy and Golden Globe winning The Bear for FX on Hulu. In 2021 Kelly was nominated for an ACE Eddie award for her work on SNL’s At Home episodes during the 2020 pandemic.

Kelly also loves doing short form work. In 2022 Kelly joined the roster at Arts Academy Edit for all commercial projects. Her ad clients include Nike, Old Spice, Google, KFC, VRBO, Target, Chrysler, Columbia Sportswear and many more.

When Kelly is not in the edit suite, she loves hanging upside down from a flying trapeze or aerial silk, riding her bike long distances, and competitive speed jigsaw puzzling.
